Originally from Oak Ridge TN, Dr Jacobson is married to Denise, a Pediatric Physical Therapist. They have 3 sons, Nick, Ryan and Luke. He enjoys running, biking, swimming, camping, coaching basketball, eating healthy gourmet food and spending time with his family as well as church activities.


Dr Jacobson graduated Cum Laude from Rhodes College in Memphis with a BS in Chemical Biology. He received his MD from St Louis University and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic Graduate School in Rochester MN in 1988.

He served as an Internist in the US Air Force for 4 years including being the first Internist deployed to Desert Storm in the First Gulf War.

He has been in practice in St Louis since 1992. He joined St Louis Medical Clinic in 2003, serving as the Clinic’s President from 2005 – 2008.

He has been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Physicians (the national Internal Medicine Association). Fellowship is an honor achieved by Internists recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment, and demonstrated scholarship.

He has been selected by St Louis Magazine as one of St Louis’ Best Doctors for 9 consecutive years.

He is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
